Treghan Picnics
Treghan do have picnic packages available.
We will fill a wicker picnic basket with a selection of tasty treats, allowing you to spend a peaceful afternoon on one of the many delightful beaches or picnic spots around the Bay of Islands or under the pergola in our garden.
Keep an eye out for the beautiful birds found in the area, in particular the kingfishers, tuis, wood pigeons, and elusive bellbirds. And the kiwi in the evenings.
Each picnic basket is packed for a minimum of 2 people. Picnics must be booked and paid for 3 days in advance.
We provide picnic rugs, beach towels (these are in each guesthouse) and the basket as well as the picnic food itself.
The picnic menu is at Treghan’s discretion but may included some of the below items:
- breads
- quiche/tartlets
- selection of cold meats
- selection of sandwiches/wraps
- salads
- fruit
- a sweet treat
- assorted cheeses and biscuits
